Felisa Mirasol
Felisa Mirasol, a talented and driven California native, made her first public debut with Godmother Randy Crawford. While most kids were only starting the first grade, Marisol was winning her first talent competition.
Now 23, she has singing, songwriting and acting under her belt. “My passion has always been singing, acting and song writing. At an early age, my mother immediately recognized my gift in music and acting.“ An elementary school teacher once said “All Felisa does is sing and stare out of the window, day dreaming.“
At seven years old she started recording professionally, and had written her first song, “Call Me.“ Landing her first recording deal at age 11 with HDH Records, under the guidance of Edward Holland, one-third of the legendary Motown songwriting team Holland Dozier Holland. During her time at HDH. Now after a long musical journey that has given her the opportunity to hone her live performance skills and her songwriting abilities, Mirasol is ready to release her debut CD in early 2009, The forthcoming as yet untitled set will be lead by two spectacular tracks “Emergency,” and “Oh,” both composed and co-produced by Mirasol. Like her first foray into the professional music arena, Felisa was the lead singer of the pop vocal group 4U who charted “Vibe of Love” in 1999, her new CD will be released on the newly revived HDH label. “ I have always looked up to Eddie as a father figure and Brian as an uncle, “ proclaims Mirasol. “I’ve had to prove myself to them over these many years which did not come easy. Like all=2 0other artist despite the fact I’m working with people I consider family there have been many let downs and disappointments but I’ve grown musically because of them. They inspire me because they have touched so many peoples lives with their music and now they’ve paved the way for me. I’m eager to change lives with my music the same way they have.”
Over the years Felisa has honed her professional singing skills in several ways. She sang backup on best friend and musical mentor Christina Milian’s sophomore CD, and performed live with her on “106 and Park” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” She was featured as the guest vocalist on the yet to be released album for jazz artist Ronnie Laws; she guest stared as a lounge singer on Logo’s cable network series Noah’s Arc; and was featured as a guest vocalist on a track for the album bucdafucup II for the rap group Onyx.
Dabbling in acting at an early age, she also appeared in Lavert’s music video Always, playing a younger version of the talented actress Lela Rochon. At seven, she was featured on The Wake Up with the late John Ritter, Peter Alsop, and Kidpower. Felisa also appeared in the plays John Henry and Windows in Los Angeles.
Felisa further prepared herself for a career in entertainment by taking acting classes at The Young Actors Space and taking vocal classes under the guidance of Nicholas Cooper.
Felisa is a dynamic multitalented artist who has the drive to succeed in the entertainment industry. She is professionally experienced and well equipped in various endeavors in the field of entertainment.
